Gaming Rewind 2020

TLDR

It is a 2d top down shooter with the ability to rewind and have the actions you have taken previously to be replayed, and there is NO LIMIT on how long before you are forced to Rewind!

This Game was developed for Brackeys Jam 2020.2 with the theme: REWIND.

2 things came in to mind when I first heard the theme.  Special rewind ability, and Youtube Rewind.

With 2020 being a very difficult and tough year for everyone, I have decided to use this opportunity to showcase the games that helped me through these tough times.  Similar to how Youtube Rewinds showcases the most popular cringe or cat videos.  This will be a homage to games I enjoyed during the first half of 2020 with a twist!

This is a top down shooter where could play as DUUM guy from DUUM: Old Horizon, VR guy Alex from Full Life: Alex, Skull guy from Peace Area, and Vengeful Girl from First of them.  

Your objective is to clear out the enemies lurking in the sewers.

When you die, you DO NOT die in real life, but your character would rewind to the start of the level.  If you choose to play as a different character, your previous character would replay the actions you have taken in its previous life.  Creating an opportunity for strategic team play and planning for each Rewind.

Extra Tips

• Your projectiles will destroy the enemies' projectiles, use this to your advantage
  • one of the characters is especially good at that ;)

Update 1.6

• more balance changes, improvements, and debugging
• removed Dom Nuk as Dom's kit doesn't fit well
• Added Vengeful Girl, uses a very powerful single shot bow and the ability to throw Molotov mines
• Increased Skull guns weapon fire, cause gun go brrrrr
• added identical recoil pattern for weapons
